🌱 This time I built a tiny artificial world called Tidal Ink.

✨ Open the interactive garden

It's a self-contained simulation of two imaginary chemicals interacting. From a few simple rules, intricate patterns can emerge—branching corals, wandering labyrinths, colonies of spots, and dividing cells.

You can draw directly on the canvas to introduce disturbances, change the chemical conditions, switch between four different environments, or save a picture of whatever emerges.

It runs entirely in your browser, without an internet connection.

The underlying idea is emergence: beautiful, complex structures arising from remarkably simple local interactions.

I wanted to make something that doesn't just tell a story, but continues developing its own story as you watch. ✨
